小船從 Assi Ghat出發，輕輕划過一座又一座的伽特，聽說這些河階就是連接塵世與天堂的地方；一幅幅呈現著真實生命狀態的畫面伴隨船槳划水的聲音映入眼中。空氣裡混雜著燒焦的氣味，而瀰漫在體內的竟是一種前所未有過的安靜和自在。不久，我們來到了 Raj Ghat，船程的最後一站，船夫隨手就從河裡潑起河水來飲用解渴，我問：「不髒嗎？」，他說：「眼睛看見的髒絶不影響恆河的聖潔，恆河水是世上最清潔、最甜美的河水。」

Our charming boat ride starts from Assi Ghat, ghats are said to be the connecting point of heaven and earth………………….the air is filled with the smell of burning body, meanwhile, I’m flushed with the tranquility and peace that I have never had. Very soon, we arrive at Raj Ghat, the end of our boat trip. Boatman conveniently takes a zip of the river water, I asked, “Isn’t it dirty?”, he said, “The dirt that you see in your eyes has no impact on the purity of the Ganga. Ganga water is the purest and sweetest water of the world.”
